Marika is me! I'm a 28 year old girl who loves dragons and elves (duh!). I've been a member of Elfwood for 9 years now and a Moderator for about 1.5 year. I'd like to write books (I have lots of ideas but too little time) and paint my own covers to them. To sell art of all kinds, paintings, sculptures, plushies and so forth, and be able to live on it would be great. I'd love to have my own art shop! :P Anyway, now please go and have a look at my pictures and comment! News 16 Sep 2009: For the time being I don't take any commissions. But I might after Christmas again (if anyone should want that is). Apart from that life goes on. I saw District 9 recently and I greatly recommend it! It's very good and a different aliens-comes-to-earth movie! *nod nod* Have a nice day!

Hi and welcome brave traveler to my corner of the woods! I'm 28yrs old... and have been a member of Elfwood for 9yrs now! (Wow, long time!) I am a moderator too, since about 1.5 years back. (don't kill me, but feel free to ask about anything). The reason is that I wanted to help Elfwood and as a way of thank you for all that it's given me over the years. I have got a much greater understnding of all that a moderator has to go through now, and I can tell you, it's far from easy and lots of hard work.

Anyway, I'm a quite normal person, I guess. A bit obsessed with fantasy and sci-fi, reading all the time and wishing to be a proffessional artist some day. That'd be great! I'm a happy owner of two snakes (a cornsnake and a milksnake) and planning on getting two dogs. In about... 3-4years. I'm currently at the university and reading to become a teacher in swedish, math and all the religion, history, geographic and the rest of the general subjects for kids (ages 7-11). I think that'll be great fun and it'll also give me 2 months free every summer in which to paint and such (and buy puppies! :P)
I like horses (well, all animals) and I go horse riding every week.
Umm... I forgot what more to tell you, but I'll put it up here later if I come up with it. :) Anything you wanna know, just ask. I always answer my comments. Thank you all!

I miss the lighter frames we used to have on recent additions earlier. It made it so much easier too find the new stuff! nods"

I take care to write the new uploads in the profile and the handy extra "information box" so people know and have a chance to find the new one. Marika Viklund replies: "Yeah, I do that too. I have this "Updates" section in my short bio. Very handy. But I still miss the frames. Since pictures don’t get sorted by order of appearance but by title that function was very good. "

8 Oct 2009	Paul Cerar	Loading... What’s new? Canada celebrates Thanksgiving, on the second Monday of October. It is both a religious holyday and a cultural holiday. Do you have something similar in Sweden? Marika Viklund replies: "Hmm... No, I don’t think we have anything special going on at Monday. On Hallows eve though. "
9 Oct 2009	Paul Cerar	Loading... We celebrate Thanksgiving, to thank God for the harvest. It is held in Canada every second Monday in October, and in USA on every last Thursday in November. Traditionally we have a feast, with roasted turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, mashed turnips, corn and peas, cranberry sauce, baked squash, and for desert pumpkin, blueberry, or pecan pie with whipped cream or ice cream. For a couple of days afterward, we eat "sloppy joes". They are openfaced sandwiches, with toasted bread, shredded turkey, and gravy. Marika Viklund replies: "Oh God! Quiet you! I get hungry just reading about it! drools Mmm, pies... "
